Twin Flames, Two Souls Journey Through Time – The Professor - Chapter 10

The waiter brought them over another round of drinks, and Daniel said sarcastically, “Could you have at least changed the description of me?  And by the way I’m 5’7” not 5’6”.”  Amelia smiled, and for the first time since she had seen him, she felt herself relax.  “My bad, that inch makes all the difference.”  Daniel raised an eyebrow at her, and said, “Hey an inch can make a big difference.”  She bit her bottom lip again and said, “that’s what she said.”  They both started laughing.  “I’ll change it in the reprint.”  “See that you do.”  They grew quiet again, the elephant in the room feeling more like a woolly mammoth, and Amelia wished she too was extinct at that moment.  She knew where the conversation was headed, and she started chewing on her bottom lip out of anxiousness.  “Stop chewing on your bottom lip and say what you want to say Amelia.”  She eyed him skeptically and replied, “you are the one with the questions,” it came out more flippant than she intended to say it.  He arched his eyebrow and took a long slow sip of his drink.  His look made her shift in her seat.  “Daniel,” she had intended to say something, but she didn’t know what to say.  “Yes, Amelia?”  “You’re doing this on purpose aren’t you?  A little payback.” “You deserve some payback Ms. Jenkins, or should I say Ms. Jones?”  She blushed and said, “I suppose you’re right, but it doesn’t exactly solve the current situation in which we find ourselves.”

Daniel shifted in his seat; she was right.  “I thought you should know that James also enjoyed your book, he said you had a very vivid imagination, I think that was the expression he used.”  Amelia’s cheeks flushed immediately crimson, and he tried unsuccessfully to stifle his smile.  “Alright Daniel, let’s get it out of your system, hit me with your best shot,” she said with a hint of annoyance and embarrassment.  “I was being sincere; James did actually say that, and you do have a VERY vivid imagination.”  She bit her lip again, “I’m sure it was weird for you to read those scenes.  It was weird to write them, they are the main reason I chose to use a pen name, I wouldn’t even let my sister read the book.”  “Your sister hasn’t read the book?  Why?”  “I don’t need Lucy knowing what my kinks are, it’s weird.”  “Kinks huh?” he said with a wolfish smile.  Amelia could feel her face getting hot, in fact she felt it moving up her face, it was at her ears now.  “Why did you move your hands earlier?”  She chewed on her bottom lip again, “are you really going to make me say it?”  He nodded his head while trying in vain to stifle his shit eating grin.  She rolled her eyes in exasperation, “I would suggest you not roll your eyes at me Amelia.”  She shot him a look as if to say, or what?  “Newton’s third law of motion.”  She smirked, “which one is that again?” she asked, knowing full well what the answer was.  “Oh, that’s right, a body in motion tends to stay in motion.”  Daniels eyes grew incredibly dark, and he just stared at her with an intensity she hadn’t seen before, his eyes never leaving hers.  “Do you want to try that again?”  She was the first to look away, and she saw him smile out of the corner of her eye, knowing he had won that round.  “I moved my hand, because I’m scared to death to touch you, that if I do, I won’t be able to stop,” she whispered.  Daniels impish grin made her roll her eyes again, without her even realizing it.  “I did already warn you once about rolling your eyes, Ms. Jenkins, I wouldn’t suggest tempting a third time.”  “Stop being so damn obtuse, and I won’t feel the need to involuntarily roll my eyes.”  Their conversation had taken a sharp left turn, a delicious left turn, but Amelia was reeling at the moment, and she felt the need to find solid ground.  Her skin was growing hot, and his eyes never left hers.  “You’re not playing fair Daniel.”  “I don’t recall ever telling you that I would.”  His eyes still never leaving hers.

She nervously shook her leg under the table, she had to physically grab a hold of it to stop it from moving.  Daniel couldn’t take his eyes off her, nor did he not want to.  He enjoyed watching her squirm, watching her face turn multiple shades of pink, watching her chew her bottom lip.  He took another long slow sip of his drink.  He wasn’t thirsty, he just thoroughly enjoyed watching Amelia fidget in her seat.  He decided to take pity on her, she didn’t deserve it, but he was in a generous mood suddenly.  “What made you write a book?”  “I don’t know, something to do I suppose while I was out of work, and maybe I wanted to see if I could.”  “Why me Amelia?”  “The book pretty much explains it, since you have read it.”  He chuckled to himself, “I have missed this Amelia, sparring with you.”  She smiled, “Are you still angry with me?”  “Yes and no.  You should have told me, but I understand why you didn’t.”  She felt her shoulders relax when he said that, and he noticed.  “Tense I see.”  “You can be very intimidating when you are angry Daniel, all five foot seven inches of you,” she said with an amused grin.  His smile crinkled his eyes, “well I didn’t mean to intimidate you, so I apologize for that.”  “Oh, I think you very much intended to intimidate me Daniel, in fact I’m pretty sure you enjoyed it immensely.”  He laughed heartily, “maybe just a little,” and he gave her a little wink.  “Amelia, I really wish that I would have taken your number five years ago.  I wanted you to know that.”  “Really?”  He nodded his head, and for the first time in a while his eyes left hers.  “Can I ask you a question Daniel?”  “Of course.”  “Do you feel the electricity between us, or am I imagining that?”  “No Amelia, I feel it.  Your body begs for me to touch it,” his eyes shot back up to hers and the desire in them was palpable.  He continued, “it feels like every single molecule in my body is on fire whenever I’m anywhere near you.  I don’t understand what I’m feeling.  I have been attracted to other women before, but with you Amelia, it’s just different.  Do you really believe in twin flames?”  “I didn’t even know what that was, but when I met you Daniel.  I have never felt the way I feel about you with anyone else.  Not even my ex who I pined over for fifteen years.  I feel you before I see you, my body knows when you are near.  I knew you were in the audience before you even asked your question.”  Daniel smirked, “wait till you see your face, it would have made me laugh, you know if I didn’t want to strangle you at that exact moment.  I still want to strangle you, but not in a murderous way.”  Amelia’s breath quickened and she bit her lip, her eyes not leaving his.  She could feel herself inching closer to him, she wanted to stop herself, but she couldn’t, her movements were completely involuntary.  She was only about a foot away from him now, her legs crossed tightly under the table.  A lascivious grin formed on his face, as he inched closer to her, he watched as her beasts swelled with each breath she took, and god help him, her breath was quickening.  They were mere inches apart now, neither looking away from the other.  They were playing a dangerous game of chicken, and Daniel knew Amelia was 1000% correct, if they touched, they would not be able to stop.  Making sure not to touch her, he whispered in her ear, “what is this?”  Amelia’s body practically convulsed when he did that.  “It’s dangerous Daniel, that is what it is.”  “Loathe as I am to admit that you are right, it’s probably not a good idea to touch you, I know I wouldn’t be able to stop if I did,” he then whispered again in her ear, “but just know I really, really want to touch you.”  Amelia moved away from him, she had to, there were decency laws she would break if she didn’t.

It took a moment for their breath to calm, and they finished their drinks as they did.  Amelia looked at her phone, Lucy had texted her again.  She shook her head and rolled her eyes, Daniel shot her a withering look, “I warned you about that Amelia!”  “What??”  “You rolled your eyes at me, again.”  “I rolled them at my sister, she texted me again.  One time I was out of the office for business, and I went straight to the gym instead of picking her up because I had gotten back early, it was like a five minute walk for her to the gym, I figured she would just meet me there.  She didn’t see me on the stationary bike, and she called the CHP to see if I was dead in a ditch.  She’s a total worry wort.  When I got out the gym I had like 30 missed calls from her and my parents”  Daniel gave her a slight smile and said, “I’ll give you a pass on that one then.”  She licked her lips and said, “Daniel, please know that you do not know who you are playing with.” “Oh, on the contrary Amelia, I’m pretty sure I do know EXACTLY who I’m playing with.”  She bit her lip and tried to stifle her grin, but the fact that she squeezed her legs tighter together under the table told him everything he needed to know.  She texted her sister back to let her know that it was going fine.  “Would you like another drink, Amelia?”  “That probably wouldn’t be a good idea.”  “You’re probably right, but I’m not ready to leave you just yet.”  She smiled at him sweetly, “I’d invite you up to my room to talk, but my sister and I are sharing a room.”  “Now that, is a very bad idea Amelia, you and I should not be anywhere near a bed at this moment, or really any flat surface.”  “Fuck Daniel, what are you trying to do to me?”  “Perhaps some food would be a good idea.”  “Let me check in with my sister upstairs to let her know, and I’ll meet you in the lobby in ten minutes.”

As Amelia made her way up in the elevator to their floor she felt as though she was floating on a cloud.  What had happened in that bar?  How did he go from so incredibly angry with her, to telling her that he wanted to touch her, and that they can’t be around any flat surface?  A shiver went through her entire body, everything she had wanted for the last six years seemed to be coming true.  Lucy saw the smile plastered on Amelia’s face when she entered the room, “It went well I see,” Amelia gave a sly smile and nodded.  “He wants to get something to eat, do you mind if I go?”  “Of course not, I’ll order room service and maybe take a bath or watch some TV.”  Amelia gave Lucy a hug, and she brushed her teeth, brushed her hair, grabbed a coat, and made her way back down to the lobby.

Daniel was waiting for her by the revolving doors at the front of the hotel, when he saw her, he smiled sweetly.  He placed his hand out wordlessly asking for hers, she looked up at him hesitantly, he shrugged his shoulders and with his eyes he pleaded for her to just take his hand.  When she did, the reaction was immediate, it was as though she had been struck by lightning, or at least what she imagined that would feel like.  He started walking with her towards the elevator, “where are we going?”  “I got a room in the hotel Amelia; I think we have waited long enough.”  Her eyes grew big, and her heart started racing.  As much as she wanted him, this suddenly felt too rushed.   He could see how conflicted she was, how nervous, perhaps even terrified.  “Amelia, don’t worry, I think we are long past pretense, don’t you?”  “I feel as though we still have a lot of things to talk about Daniel, and as you said, I don’t think being around a bed will be conducive to a productive discussion.”  His brown eyes darkened to almost black, and he leaned into whisper in her ear, “well, I believe it will be a very productive conversation.”  Amelia’s legs instantly felt like jelly, he pulled her in close to him attempting to conceal the deviant smile forming on his face.  They stood alone in the elevator, him looking intently at her, and her trying desperately to avoid his gaze.  He chuckled to himself, and Amelia shot him an irritated look, “And what prey tell is so damn funny?”  “You are, you write a book, a book with some pretty steamy sex scenes in them, and now you are standing next to the person inspired those scenes, and you’re acting like a shy school girl instead of the woman I know you to be,” he leaned in to whisper in her ear, while shooting a glance at the camera’s “be lucky there are cameras in here Amelia, and stop fidgeting so damn much, you’re making me hard.”  Her eyes got as big as silver dollars, and she bit her bottom lip, she leaned against him, and she could feel his erection, which grew harder when she did that.  “Stop, or this will be over before it even starts.”  Daniel could see the proud little smile forming on her face and he wrapped his arm around her waist, “there she is.”

The elevator stopped on his floor, they walked towards his room, she stopped abruptly digging in her heels.  “Daniel, I don’t know if this is a good idea.”  “Relax Amelia, we do not have to do anything, and we will not do anything that YOU do not want to do.  We can just talk, without any prying eyes.  I would nev..”  Amelia pressed her finger to his lips, “I know you wouldn’t Daniel, I’m not afraid of you, I’m afraid of me.  I meant it sincerely when I said that I would not be able to control myself.”  He smiled at her, “Let’s go back downstairs Amelia, we can continue our discussion and get something to eat,” he turned to walk back to the elevator, still holding her hand, but she did not move.  She didn’t know what she wanted, her brain was telling her one thing, her heart another, and her body, well her body was screaming, begging her to let him have his way with her.  Daniel was facing her, searching her face for some sort of answer, “Amelia?”  She looked towards the elevator and then towards the rooms, her eyes searching his, his desire was evident, a life with no regrets she mused to herself silently, she gave him an almost imperceptible nod, and he led her towards his room.

Amelia stood in the foyer as Daniel stepped into the living area and sat on the couch.  It was a suite, thankfully the bed was in an actual room behind a closed door.  He patted the couch, and she walked over and took a seat next to him.  “I promise Amelia, I won’t bite…hard anyway.”  She smiled and shook her head at him, she almost rolled her eyes, but she caught him arch his brow at her, so she thought better of it. “Wise decision Amelia.”  She feigned ignorance, “I’m sure I have no clue what you are referring to.”  His eyes narrowed at her, “yes you do.”  She chewed her bottom lip trying to hide her smile, “I am curious, what would happen if I did roll my eyes?”  “Newton’s third law Amelia,” he leaned in closer to her and said in a whisper, “for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction.”  She tried hiding her gulp, but she knew at this moment that there was no hiding anything from him.  They stared at each other with a lust that she had never experienced, he wanted her just as much as she wanted him.  She broke eye contact first, again, damn he won round two as well.

“Daniel, there is clearly no denying that we are attracted to each other, but these feelings are so intense, and we haven’t even done anything but talk and make innuendos.  I’m afraid that once we do what our bodies are clearing screaming at us to do… what then?”  “Are you asking are we going to be together?”  She couldn’t look him in the eyes, but she gave a slight nod yes to his question.  “Amelia, I have thought about you for the past five years, kicking myself for not taking your number, for not being as brave as you were.  I know how hard it was for you to tell me that.  You were right in your book, I would have never asked you out, too big a risk, but you had the courage to do what I couldn’t.”  He grabbed her hand, “I have been using the fact that you were a student as an excuse, maybe even as a shield to protect myself and my heart.”  Amelia looked at him with such love and he could see the tears welling up in her eyes as he spoke.  “James was right, you are good for me, you are exactly what I have always needed.”  Amelia withdrew her hand from his, “James…James said that?”  He quickly grabbed her hand again, “Yes, when he handed me your book, then he told me to get over myself, that no one would care that you had once been my student.  That I was only using that as an excuse.”  His eyes fell to her hand, “my body was telling me what my brain couldn’t comprehend.  My soul DOES know you; I already know every inch of your body, I know how you will taste, how you will feel, my body has been begging me to stop resisting.”  He looked back up into her pale green eyes, which were glistening from the unshed tears forming, “I can’t explain it, I wouldn’t even begin to know how to, you can call it a twin flame, and perhaps you are right, maybe we do share a soul, because whenever I’m with you Amelia, I feel whole, you’re my home, my sanctuary, my peace.”  Amelia could no longer resist, she leaned over and kissed him, softly, sweetly, he pulled back and stared at her, his eyes glistening as well, “I’m not going anywhere Amelia, whether we do anything here or not.  I’m afraid you’re stuck with me.”  Her tears began falling, and he took his thumb and gently wiped them away from her cheek and he pulled her in closer to him.  His fingers softly tracing the curves of her face, his thumb lightly brushing against her parted lips, as her breath quickened.  He dipped her head up and kissed her, slowly at first as his hand went around to the nape of her neck and gripped her hair tightly, he felt her sigh with pleasure.  As their tongues weaved in and out of each other’s mouth, her hands gripped his shirt pulling him closer to her.  He stopped abruptly looking at her, their eyes ablaze with passion, their bodies heaving with desire, he tugged her head back and exposed her neck.  He trailed kisses down from her earlobe, his tongue gently licking against her neck with each kiss, when he reached her pulse point, he withdrew his lips slightly, and she could feel him smile against her neck, she leaned into his mouth, a silent plea to not stop.  He was more than happy to oblige her request; he started again except he was nipping gently with his teeth.  He could feel her body tense as he did so, he made his way back to her lips and her hands started grabbing at his back and pulling him towards her, their breath intertwining, she gently bit his bottom lip and he smiled wickedly, and he pressed his full body weight against hers.

Amelia could feel her desire growing, she could feel herself building to a climax, his heavenly weight pressing against her body, his lips kissing her with ferocity, as though he would die if he stopped, his hands moving along her body, her breasts, her hips, he took one of her legs and hitched it up over his waist, she could feel every last delicious inch of him, and she smiled, “you were right, and inch does make a difference.”
